The building transitions from glass and masonry to a lighter glass and precast concrete expression. Step-backs and material differentiation create a four-story street presence to pay respect to the surrounding context. Grand Central Apartments welcomes the city to enjoy the provided open spaces for community celebration. A street level public plaza at the corner of Johnson St. and Mills St. provides a landscaped spot for residents to engage with the city, while a semi-public roof terrace offers intentional conversations.
